Day 4 – Sayward to Port Hardy
A beast of a day awaits with a really early start. Once I’ve cooked breakfast, prepared fluids for the day and packed away the tent and equipment I aim to hit the road at 6:30am. Within the first 5 miles I’m greeted by a monster 3.5 mile climb with some tricky 15% gradients, I’ll have to get low into the gears with the bike packed full of equipment.
After a brief respite down hill, I then face a ten mile slog uphill to 1,914 feet. The rest of the ride is slightly less challenging although still with 90 miles to go!
I’ll pitstop at Port McNeill for a much needed refuel before 28 miles into Port Hardy for the night.http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3083972
